I’m happy to announce that Selfies from the End of the World: Historical Accounts of the Apocalypse has come out. My flash fiction story “Winter In My Bones” is featured in it. Here’s a small excerpt from the beginning of the story:
This project first started in February as a Kickstarter Campaign. I was a backer, with the small hope that perhaps if I managed to write a story that fit the submission call and was good enough, and the campaign reached its goal, my story might be in it. I am excited to see that happen now but would’ve been happy to support this anthology nevertheless.
You may wonder what “selfies” have to do with this. An anthology is about stories, not pictures, right? Selfies in this case are written experiences:
The anthology, Selfies from the End of the World, will be a collection of stories about the apocalypse and post-apocalypse told from the point of view of people experiencing the end of the world.
– Selfies from the End of the World on Kickstarter, Feb 17, 2015
You can get the “Selfies” anthology on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other outlets, as an e-book or in print. This anthology is a project of Mad Scientist Journal, edited by Jeremy Zimmerman and Dawn Vogel. Cover illustration by Luke Spooner at Carrion House.
Hope you enjoy the stories!
